Arthur Guinness died on this date in 1803

Arthur Guinness, the founder of the original Guinness Brewery, died on January 23rd in 1803.
According to wikipedia, he was bequeathed 100 pounds from his godfather's will and invested that money. Not sure if that means he "invested" it in the very first brewery in leixlip, or if he let it accrue a bit before using it to open the first brewery.

I wouldn't say that exactly. I'm sure not every Irishman (or woman) likes Guinness, even if it is a bit of a national emblem.

@DWDavis Probably so. There's another Irish lady I believe that floats around here from time to time.
Have you heard there's a Guinness Chocolate apparently as well?

I've yet to try it. A friend of mine has and she says I'd probably not like it too much. I'll have to break down and try it once.
