Why do people do this???

I don't get it...
Why do people build your hopes up, to turn right round and "spit" in your eye so to speak?
Making promises to be there for you, but then when you actually reach out to them, they ignore you??? To make matters worse, they do it all in the name of Christianity.
Jesus says that the way we treat others, that is how life will treat us. He says: "Let a man not be fooled in his heart. For God is not mocked. What a man sows, he reaps. If he sows mercy, he will reap mercy. If he sows judgment, he will reap judgment."
We can go onto to say: If he sows broken promises, he will reap broken promises. If he sows blessings into people's lives who are hurting, he will reap blessings in his life, when he is hurting. And so on.. You get the picture.
The ones who treat others rudely and cruely, will be the first to complain that they don't understand why bad things are happening to them.
Now... Not all bad things that happens to us, is a result of the wrong we do towards others. We just live in a cruel world, where people make bad choices. However...there are many times, when it is a DIRECT result of how we treated others.
We need to be careful folks, especially the ones who have children. Because Jesus also mentions: "That the sins of the fathers (and mothers if they have no fathers)...are passed down to the children, for up to 7 generations."
What does this mean??? It means that our kids will have things happen to them, that are directly linked to the wrongs we do to other people, and the poor choices we make in our own lives. That is why many (not all) times, kids who end up as drug addicts, members of gangs, become alcoholics, are thieves, liars, cheaters, etc. They end up being a direct copy-cat of their parents.
Then why as people...are we so pig-headed?
I heard someone pose this question years ago: Do you know why God refers to people in the Bible as sheep and goats, rather than any other animal?
Answer: Because goats are the stubbornest animals God ever made, and sheep are the dumbest.
End result: People are too stubborn to realize they are that dumb! Or visa versa...

This is my least popular post. I guess people don't like to hear the truth. Thanks for your support.
