Spoiler alerts - 1953 – Ghost Comics A demonic entity is attacking a small community, and the angry mob hunting it find that it seems to leave a trail back to a young family living on the edge of the woods. Fred, the father of the family has seen the creature and he wants to protect his daughter, Joan from it and the mob who blame her for the attacks. When he finds that his daughter is The Thing, he plans to kill her humanely, but his wife insists that she be the one to use the gun on Joan, but then shoots her husband instead revealing in a silly closing panel that Joan is her daughter conceived to a previous husband in Hiroshima during the nuclear attack there in 1945. She vows to protect her mutant daughter who she sees as harmless but fails to see her daughter behind her swinging a giant tree branch right towards her head. Trying to wrap everything up in one panel is ambitious but too abrupt in an otherwise captivating dark tale. Arthur Chappell

As bad as that all sound it is still something I would like to see just once. Sounds like Halloween and Friday the 13rh all mixed together. They get a licking but keep in ticking. Like you just cannot kill mutants.

@RasmaSandra it may well have inspired such movies and it runs like a gripping Twilight Zone story with a disapppointing ending
