The Second Time MyLot Didn't Let Me In Within 24 Hours (Or is it a downtime? )

January 26, 2017 1:40am CST
Yesterday morning I'm feeling psyche up to write. But unfortunately I cannot log in to my account in MyLot. After five hours I tried again but no such luck. In the evening I tried again hoping it will be okay by then but still nothing. The first time was last week. I tried logging in but when I did the sign in page loaded again. But it lasted until early in the evening. But now, totally until the next day which is today. Friends, have you experience this kind of situation in myLot too? At first I was afraid that my account had been deleted so I was relieve that it wasn't. Do you think it was just a down time ?

Yeah this has happened with me as well. And it was really irritating. May be it can be the downtime too.

Yup. I do like writing my discussion impromptu. I don't like waiting or saving my write ups later on. I will surely forget about it if I do.

@diosabella Yes this happens with me too. Many a times I have to save them.

@shubhu3 This is sooo unfair right? Slow and expensive connection.

As far as I know, myLot has not had any server problems or 'downtime' recently. The problem is much more likely to be with your Internet connection or your ISP. myLot creates most of its pages dynamically (that is, the page is re-compiled every time you access or refresh the page). This means a lot of 'handshaking' (conversation between your computer and the myLot server). Any connection with bad jitter, slow response and a high proportion of errors is likely to experience loading problems with a site like this. Unfortunately, there is not a lot that the myLot webmaster - @MyLotBugs - is able to do about this.

@diosabella Those kinds of sites don't need so much 'back and forth' communication and, if you have a slow or jittery connection, it will simply make the site seem somewhat slow to load.

@owlwings Then it must be the internet connection..

Oh! Thank you for the information. I haven't thought of that because I can open my emails and other social accounts just fine.

I was restricted for 3 days. I could only work for a few hours my morning and then nothing. I took it up with my ISP and I really do not know what and who sorted it out for me from today its seems to work. It was a really bad experience.
