General Elections for the Assembly constitutencies are to held recently in Uttar Prdesh, Punjab, Goa, Uttarakand and , Manipur. The candidates contesting the election can spend upto Rs.28 lakhs. But as per present directives an individual can draw only Rs. 24000 per week (after demonetisation) and that will make an individual draw only Rs.96000. Relying on this notion EC has requested increase in drawal limits for candidates to Rs. 2 lakh per week.
This will only ensure money being used for inducing the voters.
