With the general elections scheduled to be held in August for the country Kenya, the political climate seems to be reaching its peak with both the current ruling regime and the opposition urging their supporters to register as voters. The current government has been accused of bad governance and corruption but amid these allegations, the sitting president is out seeking to have another term.
Kenyans have been urged to embrace peaceful elections with the elections boss warning politicians over incitement. With a country that experienced post election violence after the 2007 disputed poll results,it would be unfortunate to have a repeat of the same.
But I think as voters we ought to realise that politicians in the government and the opposition treat one another as brothers and sisters leaving us to turn against one another for their sake.
