Snow Days!

As an early childhood educator, I love snow days. Not because we don't have school but because for most of my students, it is their first memorable experience of snow. They usually come back full of tales of their adventures and it's just adorable to hear them so excited and happy. It even helps to deepen their understanding of "The Snowy Day" by Ezra Jack Keats. Unfortunately, we haven't had any real snow yet. Yesterday, there were flurries in the afternoon but nothing that stuck. I really really hope they get to have some real snow sometime soon.

Cool I wish I could experience the best snow ever when I visit some of the countries with snow... Hope to start it at South Korea.... With the K-pop. Lol!

I remember loving snow days when i was a child. Where i grew up the snow would get so deep we could make tunnels through it and have great fun. My own children did that too as a child, I haven't seen that much snow in years. I believe its Global Warming.

I live in the Eastern US. We had a lot of snow last year but none so far this year. It really makes me sad. I agree that it is a change caused from global warming.

We've had a ton of snow days too. We love them, in the moment, but are annoyed when we have to make them up. Two hour delays are the best: a little less school, but no makeup!

yes, yes, YES!! Even a delay is good! No delays yet. Last year we were in school until the end of June.

@AranciataRoss That's awful! As a senior, we get out earlier than the others, but they talked about pushing graduation back.

Yes, it's always so cute to hear about what they did.
