Toronto Blue Jays sign left handed relief pitcher J P Howell to a one year deal

The Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday have reached a one year, $3 million dollar contract with former Los Angeles Dodgers left handed relief pitcher J P Howell.
With the departure of left handed relief pitcher Brett Cecil to the St. Louis Cardinals via free agency.
Howell, 33, became a free agent at the end of the 2016 Major League Baseball season after he pitched four seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Aaron Loup will have the assistance of Howell as the left handed relief pitchers on the Blue Jays relief pitching team in 2017.
