Thing You Lie About

White lies or no matter how we call it is still a lie. But who does not lie anyway? We have given justifications why we lie but more often than not this is one significant human nature that any one of us cannot live without. Yes, honesty is the best policy but that is not actually true all the time. I asked some friends what are the most common things they lie about. Some of them give the following answers: 1. "I lied about money. Men sometimes do not understand that women’s accessories and clothes and some other things cost more than theirs." 2. Salary. Sometimes we want to build a good reputation of earning good income. I lie about my whereabouts most of the time. Who wants to be questioned most of the time where they’ve been? Just do not like the overbearing concern of the people around. 3. "I lie about what I actually feel so not to hurt a person. This is very true when love slowly fades and just do not have the heart to tell it. What about you? Are there things you lie about?

If i tell you that I don't, that's absolutely a lie. I usually lie in front of big companies and developers. I'm not sure if it's really a lie but I have to boost my company's ego by exaggerating things. But the moment I get the contract, I make sure that the words i told them turn into reality. I cannot lie in front of the board of directors as my position requires me to be transparent. I have to lie every single day about my mood though. I cannot show my people that I don't believe them when i have doubts whether they're lying or not, as I need to have concrete evidence to prove that they're indeed lying.

There is really at least one thing we lie about and I do not see anything wrong with that if we have good reasons

@toniguanzo The word exaggerating - - - You and Trump have something in common then . . . . Trump exaggerates everything (except the size of his hands) about himself and his businesses; and he is a billionaire! No wonder why you, too, is successful as a business executive!

@cherigucchi A lie is still a lie no matter what the good reason behind is.

When I am sick or injured, I'll lie to myself and say that I am fine. It's a classic lie we men tell all the time.

I lie about feelings sometimes too. Actually I focus on the positive feelings instead of the bad thoughts so I discuss about them more. Sometimes if my opinion might hurt someone for things that don't really matter, I keep it to myself.

In my years on this planet, I have learned to always, always speak the truth. And deny it afterwards.

LOL . . Your post reminded me of the line that my wife used to say once in a while - "Honey, not tonight . . I got a terrible headache!" Once I mentioned it to a co-worker. My co-worker told me that it was also the usual line of his wife. And he told me that's a lie. So, one day (actually, night), my wife again uttered similar line - - "Honey, not tonight, I got a terrible headache!" I took a Tylenol and a glass of water and told her to take it in to fly the headache away. She looked at me, hesitation drawn in her eyes . . but she took it anyway! So, I knew she was not lying or faking!
