Why are companies looking for young people for their employees? If you look at the job advertisement, most of companies putting job vacacny advertisment are seeking young applicants. Those over determined age will be disqualified. Older people seeking jobs are often discontented with this age limitation. They often critised companies in regard to age limitation. Do they think that older people are no longer productive? If older people are not productive anymore, why doesn't age limitation apply to presidency candidates? Most presidents elect are over the age of 50 even 60.

There is also a problem of ageism in America. I have first hand experience that there is prejudice against workers over 50. It's not right and no politician or social political group is standing up for us.

Young applicants cannot stay longer in the company. Company owners have to be aware of this, right?

That's interesting. Most companies here prefer experienced workers. I disagree that older workers are not productive though.

In fact, most companies look for young applicants. Those who are older than 45 years of age are not wanted.

I think in general that older workers have a stronger work ethic.

@yanzalong Maybe they think young people will work faster? I would rather have workers with experience and are often more reliable.
