Ireland Manager Steve Staunton

September 8, 2006 6:48am CST
Further to a meeting of UEFA's Control and Disciplinary Body earlier today the Republic of Ireland International Manager Stephen Staunton has been suspended for one competitive fixture and has received no fine as a result of being removed from the technical area by referee Luis Medina Cantalejo (Spain) during last Saturday's Euro 2008 Qualifier against Germany. after hearing the news manager Staunton said, "I fully understand the charge of improper conduct being brought against me, I have apologised for my breach of acceptable behaviour on the night and I accept my punishment of a one game ban.” What do people think of him?? Should he get the sack or be given a chance to prove himself?? Personally I think he should get the sack. The FAI should get their act together and get a real manager. "I'm the gaffer"

Well I would like to ask - Why did they appoint Staunton in the first place? He doesn't seem to be suitable for the job at all!
