What do you think of tattoos?

I think tattoos should mean something and not just take one because it makes you "cool". I got some ideas on my mind but can't decide placement because I would like to see it easily. Also another problem is that I'm very clumsy what mean I have bruises and cuts on my body very often and I would not want anything to happen for me tattoo. 
One of my ideas is lion with crown like in Finland Coat of Arms but realistic looking picture. That would represent where I'm from and lion also means strenght for me. Other one would be text: one engine, two wheels, no limits. I would like some detail on it like spark plug could be letter i or wheel could be letter o.
Do you have any tattoos or do you want to get some? Or what do you think?

I'm old school. I really don't like tatoos. People forget that it's permanent and won't always be "cool." To me, the only thing worse than a young woman with a tatoo is an old woman with a tatoo.

Fortunatly tattoos were not in when I was young. But now I can imagine how tattoos would look on an old skin an I shudder.

I currently have 2 tattoos and i am planning on getting more. Thankfully the reason to not get them is not my job but yes the lack of money to be able to do the tattoos i want. I want at least three more. Everything i put on my body has a meaning to me and i dont have to explain to others why i got that specific tattoo. I would rather let them think i got it just because i8 wanted to and keep the real meaning to me.
After all it is on MY body for a reason.

Yeah you have all the rights to keep the story for yourself. For me it's just interesting to hear those storys

I don't like them. I made it through six years of being in the Navy without getting one, and my brother survived 18 years in the Navy with no tattoos. If I want to see ink I have a library card. But that's me.

Tattoos are very cool to look at but I personally won't get one. If I DO get one then it will be really small. Not extravagant either.

I have two tattoos right now, two hearts entangled with an inifinity sign its a matching one with my sister, and my second is an anchor with wings that is matching with one of my best friends. I'm getting another one probably satuday that would be a blue snowflake. I love tattoos and i love being able to see them. I have them on my wrist and forearm because theyre easy to see but also easy to cover if you have too but I agree tattoos should mean something so you don't end up regretting them.

@GegeTheMechanic I really like winter and snow, it makes me feel relaxed and calm and each snowflake when you can see them, all are unique so I like having something that would make me feel calm and something that reminds us everyone is unique and its okay (:

Yes that is nice but if a tattoo is not well made then it's not so cool anymore
