The Arizona Cardinals are interested in making a trade with other football teams in the 2017 National Football League Draft since they are in the 13th position to make their first round draft selection to acquire Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson.
The reason is that current Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer who is 37 years of age is approaching the end of the line of his football career,
The best case scenario for the Cardinals to draft Wilson to groom him as the quarterback of the future of the team is to hope that he either does not get drafted by the top seven teams in the National Football League Draft to acuire his services.
If Wilson is not available to be drafted by the Cardinals in the 2017 National Football Draft, there is always another quarterback from the college ranks to be groomed to succeed Palmer when he retires from playing football which could be around the corner.
