Can you think of one of your quality/ attribute/ entity that follows you from your childhood? Umm, is that my mind/ knowledge? Nope, by this time you enhanced it lil bit or it has forgotten some things/ person/ ur account password :D . . My eyes? Haha open your 4 eyes. You are using a spectacle or lens now My anger? Has that extra doubled by this time due to unwanted ego or stress or whatever! My beautiful hair? I'm afraid..it is reduced by half strength now or you have doubled it by planting some..!! Oh my gosh! Then what is that follows?(can I get the help of 'twitter" here?) Let me answer this! But before that can you think of someone who tells you everytime a 'NO' when you do a mistake or hurt someone? Someone who forces you to go get your dream come true, but you stay there due to your laziness! Someone who see you happy/sad and share those pain/gain moments with you! Yes that someone is within you. (Oh wait a moment- its not a love story that I'm narrating, you see..) It's your soul. .inner soul - your 'observer'! What's that all about? It's just the 'She/he' within you, who watches you eat, sleep, think, sing, dance, fight, code and so on.. It's awake even when you sleep. It's sad even when you pose artificially happy outside. It struggles to reach that person when you have ego... It requests you to enjoy every moment of yours, but you keep yourself busy chasing your unreachable goals. When I say this, I'll have to share this situation with you. I'm riding my bike now, I'm at the other end of the lane and I see a green signal somewhere in the front, few meters away.. What do I do now? I say to myself( wearing a 'villi' helmet) cumon girl u can do it..fast fast..hurry up... Well, did I reach my goal? Dnt ask me! By the time I went there it was the 'Red' flag already. What did I gain? Nothing much to say - maybe extra stress. What did I lose? I'm not sure. But I feel, I missed those lovely moments.. the experience riding in the lane. I could have admired those school going kids who passed alongside. I could have been much more cautious before I hit another bike rider who joined me in the competition. I could have checked if the beauty salon was open, so that I could have done a facial, today, on my way back home. Why didn't I follow then? It's because I din follow my observer. When she said - "hey yo! Can you please wait. .nothing has happened now. It's fine that you can be late to office by 10mins or do start 10 minutes early tomorrow. " I learnt then..we'll have to be in sync with our observer always. It can do wonders! It will really help us to come out of artificial goals and to plan & execute the practical ones. It will make us to concentrate on whatever work we do. It will help us to calm down even when we're working on critical tasks by eliminating the external thoughts or force. It helps us to give justice to whatever we do and to bring the best. It can make us to prioritize the task we do and to gracefully complete it by concentrating more on the details thus increasing productivity. It can make us happy and to be in peace at the end of the day. I learnt this concept from my yoga trainer.(Thanks to him!) Initially, I felt that my Ms. Observer was chasing me like a police..whereever I go and whatever I do.. but I can say that she is too good. She helped me identified who I am. By the time you read this, I hope your observer is reading this as well. .. Let's observe.... :)
