If The Human Body Was Not Strong...

If the human body wasn't strong...Then during this week I would have broken a little finger and would have lost both thumbs!
Cooking and cleaning while being worried or distracted is not a good thing! I went to open a door, looking for something in another room...my hand must've been turned wrong...and I bent my little finger on my right hand side ways at an odd angle....it survived, not even a sprain!
While cooking I turned a tap, didn't see some metal near the edge and cut my thumb on my left hand....turned to pour water into a pot and rammed my thumb on my right hand into the edge of a cupboard that has always been there...another cut...but, both survived! Yep, still where they belong, safely attached...
My mind was and is on my Mom. Her operation is done now, now she just has to recuperate, and it is a struggle, but she will get there. Then it is fix her skin and lungs time. But, making it through a mini hysterectomy at the age of 72, in not the best health...well...I say again...if the human body wasn't strong....
Of course...thank you to the Higher Power that was with her. Thank the Good Lord! And thank you @DianneN for prayers and @jaboUK for keeping me and mine in mind. And to a special friend who has been there as my confidant, he is just awesome...
I turned 40 on the 21st of January and the best birthday present I could have gotten was this operation going well for my Mom, yes there were a few problems, but she is still with us, so that is a gift, if ever, now the ultimate gift will be getting her to heal as much as she can and her being able to enjoy life again, after just terrible health for months, I want her to be able to enjoy life again. Have a great weekend, all.
Photo is of me on New Years Eve...

Aw, thanks for the mention. Your mom is too young, in this day and age, but she's a fighter. Prayers will continue for her, you, and your sister. I hope I haven't left anyone out! I love your pretty face! And, I think you are just being a klutz! Lol! Be careful. More hugs for you!

Have a great 40th year. I was just short of 40 when my mother passed on and I remember how difficult it was, only because she had been ill for a long time and it actually was a relief (feeling guilt), she was not in pain anymore. My Dad left us when he was 86, years after my mother. Both events are etched in my mind. Dad was able to go out the same way he lived his life with a skip and a jump... So interesting this discuaaion took me back, perhaps because I am the same age as your mother...

@PainsOnSlate , so sorry your Mom was so ill. And it is a part of us that does not want to see someone we love suffer. I am happy you are an adventurous 72 years old! And I wish you many more travels and adventures :)

Thanks to modern medicine your mom will begin to enjoy a whole new experience of good health. 72 isn't old although it may seem that way to a young woman of 40! A beautiful youthful looking woman by the way.
I have had two hip operations since my 70th birthday and I am fully recovered for which I am grateful to the doctors below and the One above.

You have certainly had a time of it haven't you! I think some pampering is now in need for you and that includes some special time with your mom in the months to come!!

@Hate2Iron , it has been so scary and we're still trying to get answers and solutions. But, yes, as soon as she gets home and we hope she has all the right medicine and heals well, pampering will begin. :)

I am so pleased that the op went well for your mum and I wish her a speedy recovery. Hopefully, once she is recovered then she can enjoy life once again. By the way what were you trying to do, get admitted to the hospital to join her. I think I should call you CC from now on. (Calamity Catherine) By the way your photo is beautiful. Congratulations on your 40th. You know the saying life begins at 40 so it is looking good for you!

@garymarsh6 , thank you :) . Now you mention it, I think maybe, subconsciously, I might have been trying to keep Mum company in the hospital. Hehe. I shall accept the title CC as it suits me for being such a klutz lately :D . Thank you so much Gary, it is lovely of you to say so. :)

Glad to hear your mom got through surgery. Hope she continues to improve. I am gearing up for my mom's surgery in a few days so I know the effect it can have on you.
