Former Atlanta Falcons starting quarterback Michael Vick on Friday has announced his retirement from playing football in the National Football League on Friday.
Vick, 36, did not play a single down in the 2016 football season since due to his age there was no team in the National Football League that wanted his services.
Vick was best known for his ability to run with a football as well as effectively throw passes to his receivers with accuracy during his career that started in 2001 with the Falcons.
Vick played for the Atlanta Falcons from 2001-2006, Philadelphia Eagles from 2009-2013, New York Jets in 2014 and the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2015.
Vick intends to stay connected to the football arena as a coach but he did say if he meant the college or professional ranks in the near future.

Vick's career sort of fizzled out. His game never returned after the dog incident.

@Kandae11 Vick did spend time in jail for the dog fighting crime is why he missed two seasons in the league.

He was a great quarterback before his jail time basically ended his prime of his career as a quarterback in the NFL.
