Why believe in a book or piece of paper?

All the religious texts in the world are only a couple of thousand years old,whereas Nature with all it's animals and plants are millions of years old,in nature it's fact,in religious text it's not proveable,have you physically seen your God or Angels or anything remotely mentioned in the texts,when man first turned up he did'nt have time to pray or build holy temples,he had to use his time to hunt,defend from predators,build a shelter over his head and stay warm.
