Our female cats stay indoors that's why I want to grow cat grass for them.
Last week, my mother and I bought half kilogram of wheat seeds with other seeds at a poultry supply store. The seller asked what I am going to do with those seeds. Maybe she's surprised that I only need a little. I told her I am going to plant those for my cats. The seller laughed and she said it's her first time to hear about that. Actually, it is also my first time to try to plant these seeds. These seeds are used to feed pet pigeons and other birds.
First, I soaked them in water. I should have done that overnight only but it took how many days before I was able to put them on a pot.
Fast forward...
I looked at the pot yesterday and I had seen no sprouts.
Failure...
I decided to get another handful of seeds and tried to separate the other seeds in the seed mixture.
I didn't soak them anymore and I just put them on the same pot. I had noticed that there were about 3 or 4 sprouts from the first batch that I planted. But I think there will be no more. I put the seeds on top of the soil and added a little more soil and watered. Then I tried what I had seen online that they covered it with plastic. I will remove the plastic once I see there are sprouts.
I hope it will be successful this time.
Do you let your cats eat grass? Do you have indoor cats?

Sometimes I observed that my cat eats grass outside; but I thought it only has a stomachache like dogs do when they want to vomit, so they eat grass.

Yes, Ate. They eat grass to have better digestion and I think to get rid of their fur ball.
I think dogs like to eat grass too. Maybe you can try it too if they want to eat it. Hahahaha

Yes I believe you, all my life having cats I observed that they eat grass, it's like medicine to them, I also observed that they would vomit it later, perhaps to get rid of parasites or an anti helminth or something.
They love lemon grass or our " tanglad" so I had to put nets when we use to have several.
