I wanted to share an article that I found absolutely fascinating. Simply put, a UN official, Christiana Figuerres, recently admitted that the global warming agenda is really about destroying capitalism, not helping the environment. I could rewrite the article, but really, it's all here. I found this rather shocking and hope you read it too. The quotes and the sourcing are all here. Whatever you think about climate change - man made or no, real or no, the quotes in this article are chilling. I am a proponent of capitalism. Socialism causes poverty, loss of freedom, and death. It has failed every time it has been tried. Even China, though they still have a Socialist ideal, has had to go to a capitalist economy, or starve.
A shocking statement was made by a United Nations official Christiana Figueres at a news conference in Brussels. Figueres admitted that the Global Warming

I think maybe a middle ground is best, find ways to not destroy trees or pollute water, and allow trade.

@Rohvannyn makes me wonder, I have seen the EPA and stuff put out reports, I cant imagine it's all made up. But then again, I do know people can make statistics jump and sing if they want (gotta watch those focus parameters and stuff). Still we do waste too much.

Sure, that's what I advocate. Do you find it problematic at all that this highly placed UN official is openly admitting that the global warming agenda is not about saving the planet, but about changing our entire economic system?

@Jessicalynnt NOAA has been caught falsifying documents. Again, though, my article is not about the legitimacy of global warming. It is about the curious fact that a top UN official is admitting that they are using it to change the world economy, especially in the US. Why in the world isn't anyone here paying any attention to that?

I don't know capitalism or not people gets starve if the two leaders of the country is too greedy To Help or share what ought to be given to the people. Capitalism in low salary, government in corruption.... Which of which.

I agree with you. Sometimes the governments of companies will take the food and aid that is suppose to go to the people that need it. Greed causes people to go hungry.

@jstory07 That's a good point, however socialism never works and capitalism sometimes does.

im not surprised this is said about global warming. as far as socialisma and capitalism are concerned, my opinion has always been, if other countries are trying to be like us in every way, including economically, then why do some people want us to be like those trying to be us? that should be a hint that we as a capitalist society are doing something right and should better it, not restrict it.

I'm not so much trying to debunk global warming, but rather to show a very odd perspective from this head of a UN council on global warming.
