The Minnesota Twins have signed free agent outfielder Drew Stubbs, 32, to a minor league contract on Tuesday. Stubbs played for the Atlanta Braves, Texas Rangers and Baltimore Orioles during the 2016 Major League Baseball season. The fans of the Minnesota Twins are very upset that the management of their team has decided to sign a journeyman outfielder to make an attempt to make the team in a utility role instead of signing a star free agent player to improve their chances of making a playoff run in 2017. Stubbs does not have a great batting average for an outfielder but he possess hitting power and decent speed that could be useful for the Twins in 2017.
