Marriage ????

I have been married twice. My 1st marriage lasted 8 years and now I am pushing 9 years with my current husband. since i was a kid I wanted a marriage that would stand the test of time, you know like 20, 30 or even 50 years, but it is just so hard.
Is there any people on here that have been married for a long time??? If so, How do you make it work???

There are lots of people on here who have been married for many years so I am sure they can give you some great advice. I was married for 25 years and we divorced and now I am starting over new. I stayed in a not so good marriage for a way too many years because I wanted to make it work more then anything. Looking back now I wish I had left many years before that. I wasted a lot of years of my life in a bad situation.

@themrs Thank you! It wasn't where I expected to be at that point in my life but I am happier now then I have ever been. It has been almost 10 years now since we divorced so I am okay now. I am actually now engaged to be married to a wonderful man that I have been seeing for almost six years.

I have been married for 10 years this year now.. it has been a hard road for us both at times.

I wonder how they do it ??? In the US the divorce rate is pretty high.
