My Boyfriend Broke His Leg :(

I just got back from the hospital, and will be leaving again soon to go back.
Today at work I got a text from my boyfriend, saying "Broke my leg. In ambulance." At first I thought it was a joke, but as soon as I got on the phone with him I could hear the pain in his voice.
It snowed a lot here recently, and he had slipped and fallen on the ice and broke his leg!
I left work early, and came straight to the hospital to be with him. His sisters also came, which was very nice of them.
He will have to have surgery on his leg tomorrow, so he must stay in the hospital overnight. I'm not happy about this at all. I am scared for him and also selfishly sad that I will have to be without him tonight...
I've come home to get some things together for him and to have something to eat. I will be heading back there shortly.
Please send your positive vibes his way!
Side note: Have you ever broken a leg or any bones? How long was your healing time? Did you get a cast or did you have surgery? Would love to hear your experiences.

You are welcome Miss Nikki. Is the bear in the picture showing us where he broke it?

@Hannihar LoL well, sort of. He broke the lower part, and was in a wheel chair and off work for about 6 months. It was hard but we got through it!

@MissNikki Oh ouch! I am very sorry about your boyfriend. I've never broken any bones before so I don't know how much pain is involved. I wish your boyfriend a speedy recovery!

I will keep your boyfriend in my prayers. I broke my wrist when I was in high school doing gymnastics. I had a cast on for a couple months. I hope he heals soon.

I guess it is easy to get injuries like that when you play sports!
