2007 – spoiler alerts – Mammoth Press Most of us would be genuinely horrified if the dead did rise up and the streets were filled with zombies, but the protagonist of this story is delighted by the endless opportunity to shoot them from the roof tops with his vast supply of bullets. He knows that one day the horde of zombies will reach him or he will finally run out of ammo so he plans to use his final bullet on himself. Meanwhile, his only annoyance is losing count of how many zombies he has slaughtered and having to start counting again from scratch. A quite perceptive idea, the zombie hunter who treats the monsters just like targets in a big three dimensional arcade game, making him more monstrous than the already dead victims. Arthur Chappell
