Sit down!!

February 12, 2017 5:50am CST
Well, I have been told all the time to sit and drink water but I never really cared much. But lately I came across an article which said the same! Now I know, what I did all these days was wrong. You know, when we stand and drink water we actually damage our stomach walls? The water splashes down the food pipe damaging other organs next to the intestine.Over a long term, it even disturbs the overall digestive system . It has been found that our kidneys filter better while sitting. Water intake while standing passes the water with a push without much filtration. It causes the impurities to gather in blood or bladder leading to damage of kidneys. There are plenty of negative things that might happen to us. So guys fir your own safety and betterment follow this. Have a nice day :)

Just because you read something does not make it true...the water travels the same distance with the same force if you are sitting or standing.

If it was not true then why would so many people say it? There must be some logic behind it.

@abanerjee Because people love repeating things they have heard even when it is not true. Use a bit of logic here...your stomach is the same distance from your mouth whether you are sitting or standing...there is nothing to 'increase' or 'decrease' the force of the water when you drink. It is simply not true.

@abanerjee As for the kidneys' filtering...when you sit, blood vessels become bent, which would theoretically constrict them and not allow your kidneys to function at their most efficient.
