I Went To Baguio City Yesterday

Baguio City is the summer capital of the Philippines and during the month of February, they have this month-long celebration that they call "Panagbenga Festival" or "Flower Festival".
I went there yesterday to see the celebration even if it's not yet the highlights of the event which I am sure will be attended by lots of people not just from Baguio City and nearby provinces but also from the capital city and other cities which will be on the last Saturday and Sunday of February. They will have the street dancing competition and float parade.
Yesterday, they had the kite-flying competition at the Melvin Jones near the Burnham Park. I just stayed at the Burnham Park and watched the boats on the lake. After about an hour, I already went to the nearby mall and bought "pasalubong" or "take home goodies" for my parents.
It was too cold even during noontime. I think it reached 9.2 degrees Celsius which I think is the lowest this year.
I also went home early when I was already tired of walking here and there.
How did you spend your Sunday?
Oops, I didn't attend the mass at the Baguio Cathedral because the story about the terrorists from the southern provinces might be true. I just attended mass in our own parish before heading to the summer capital.
*there seems to be a problem uploading picture. I will upload my cover photo once it is fixed.

Yes, I had seen that there were lots of policemen roaming around yesterday making sure that the guests are safe.
I am just unsure if there will be less people who will come up during the parades and the Session Road in Bloom. That's the usual time when a lot of people go there.

@sunrisefan Yes, it is. I don't find it exciting anymore. I must say, it is one of the best festivals in town.

@Shavkat Why do you say it's not exciting anymore? Same over the years that it has become boring? No innovation?

Which cathedral? The one with so many steps to climb? And the lake you mentioned is funny . . it is a small man-made lake not like the lakes here in Canada. . . .

If you want to experience the very cold weather, you have to go there between January or February...
And if you want to witness the month-long celebration of the Flower Festival, go there in February, specially during the last week. But there are a lot of tourists during that time.
