How does on go about designing a network of two building that are separated by the street.this buildings have 6 floors, but only the top two on each building are the ones that need to share resources. The equipment are as follows: 2 file servers containing the central database, one domian controller, a backup domain controller and a proxy server. The floors have a hub stack on each of the two floors, each with a 36 port switch to connect to the workstations of ther private domain.they have a single leased line to their ISP.

If I'm reading your post right, there's only a line to the ISP on one side? If so, you could set up a point to point wireless link in a window in each building that face each other. If both buildings have a line to the ISP, some router/firewall devices(I know the Watchguard and Cisco brands do, not sure about any others) will establish a dedicated VPN link at the router level, so for the individual machines, it seems like it's all one big network.
