Are We Living In "The Last Days?"

What do you think? What do you think the future holds for humankind?
Are we living in what the Bible calls the “last days” or the “end times?”
The Bible tells us what Jesus said about the “signs” of his coming and “the end of the world.” Matthew 24th chapter, Mark 13th chapter and Luke 21st chapter.
What were some of the signs he mentioned? Wars, earthquakes, food shortages, disease. He also said that “iniquity would abound and many shall wax cold.” What does that mean? Iniquity is “wickedness” or “lawlessness.” Do we see that today? What does it mean to “wax cold?” It means that love for others will cool off.
Jesus mentioned that these things would be a “beginning of pangs of distress” that these things MUST take place, “but the end is not yet.”
There was ONE more thing that had to take place before the end would come. Do you know what it is? Is it happening today?
Read Matthew 24:14
The Biblical end of the world, end of days, or end times—what will it mean for people and for the earth? The Bible tells us what the end is, and what it is not.

Nearly every generation has predicted that the world will end in their lifetime. Things are so bad to them, the world looks so degenerate, that they think that surely it's time for Jesus to return. We look back at those generations and think they were silly, the world wasn't so bad--but it was to them.
Even though I think there's a lot of wickedness in the world and that the dark is doing a great job of overwhelming the light, the next generation will think we had it pretty good.

My grandmother actually thought this way, hence why she had such an expansive food storage

@librarygeek1980 I thought all LDS were encouraged to have a year's supply of food stored? Here in Phoenix they are slacking off, I read in their newsletter a few years ago that the canning facility was not getting the use it once was. I think it is a wise policy to have food stored. If a heavenly calamity doesn't happen, there are plenty of human calamities like job loss, tyranny, and weather disasters.

@dragon54u it's wise to have at least some non perishable food stored in case of job loss, and simliarities. But as far as having a years supply? The church has backed off on that simply due to the rising cost of food, more mobility, less room to store, etc. Most of the canning facilities here in utah are also getting shut down mostly due to lack of use as well, plus also lack of bishops storehouse orders. As one who has lived on bishops storehouse food orders of and on the last 30 years, some of the food aint too bad, but most of it is stuff that just is not that edible. Luckily they are getting better since they are getting more donations from outside sources rather than produce thier own

From a Latter day saint (mormon) perspective, our faith has been preaching this since the church was founded in 18 hundred and something. Me personally I try not to really worry about it, considering even if there was a catastrophic event, I wouldnt want to live on this earth anyway, as long as I am with my family that's all that matters. All we can do is have faith, do your part, and let God take care of the rest.

Yes, and that's when things started getting worse and worse every decade.
