To the Broken-hearted Man on Valentine Day

Happy Valentine! You hear that from other people and instantly you feel a stab of pain to your heart. Remind your heart not to get too emotional. It's job after all is to pump blood and nothing else. But if you persist on feeling sorry for yourself, here are some songs to put you in the mood. Start with "Blue Moon" by Rod Stewart or Frank Sinatra to reminiscent about your former sweetheart. Then listen to "When a man loves a woman" by Willie Nelson or Michael Bolton. Sing along and pour out all that anguish and suffering while you drown your sorrow in a bottle of brandy, vodka or whiskey.(Avoid Beer which is fattening. It was probably the reason your girlfriend left you for a man with a six-pack abs) Finally, contemplate the lyrics from "Strangers in the night" by Andy Williams. You might have a last minute change of heart and decide to try your luck at a single's bar. Be stoic and fortify yourself with the thought that it's only for one night. In the inspiring words of Little Orphan Annie, "The sun'll come out Tomorrow So ya gotta hang on 'til tomorrow Come what may" Notice that this post is about men only. According to scientific research, women are emotionally stronger and stable. Men either commit suicide or become great poets. If all else fail, take a cold shower. That should be enough to shock you out of your misery. A Haiku for Valentine... "True love understands Forgiveness is in the heart no words are needed"

@jstory07 _Valentine day is over so they have one year to mend their broken heart and find a new love for next year's Valentine day.

"Blue Moon" is a great choice for broken hearts. It's one of my favorite songs for pity parties.

@bagarad _ LOL you don't need a pity party to enjoy the music. I like the way it quietly seep into your consciousness and has a calming effect on me. I'm hearing the music in my head as I write.
