Posting a really bad song makes me feel that I have to apologize for people who've spent years, if not decades, trying to remove the trauma of hearing those songs from their minds. I'm there with you. How about, to compensate, a song that mentions "Saturday" in its title? This should get those bad songs out of your head. Saturday Nite - Earth, Wind, and Fire After three country songs to start this series we needed a change of pace musically, right? How much different can this be?! Rock and Roll Hall of Fame group Earth, Wind, and Fire burst onto the national scene with "Shining Star" in 1975. They had been around for years before that, however. Member Philip Bailey had a huge solo hit in the mid-80s, "Easy Lover," dueting with Phil Collins. Founding member Maurice White passed away last year from complications of Parkinson's disease.
