I just "bearly" made the decision

Forgive my "punny".
I've been staring at the bear in this picture for about a week now. I've been trying to rack my brain as to where I got it from.
It could've been my mom, but I don't think it was. If it was, then I'd be giving it to my grandmother. Not because the bear isn't cute, but because she sits precariously and I'm afraid she will fall and shatter. I don't have much room to put here anywhere else.
But what if it was a gift that was given to me after my ex husband's great grandmother was moved to the live in care facility? Well then, I thought, I'll just mail it back to his mom.
I wasn't sure, and after a week's deliberation, still couldn't remember. So off I traipsed down the dark hallway into the kitchen.
"Was this mama's?" I ask.
Well, we couldn't be sure so I outlined my predicament to my grandmother. She said instead of sending it off, just give it to her.
So there it is, sitting proudly in the kitchen.
It's not in my way, and I don't have to worry about accidentally sending something to someone when it's not rightfully their's.

she wouldn't be happy if she knew you called her grandma! lol
It's granny.
My brother was the first to make her a grandmother, and neither my grandmother or grandfather wanted to be called "grandma and grandpa" since they were barely in their forties at the time.
So Granny and Grandaddy it became.

It's very lightweight too. It was sitting on a two drawer dresser right across from my bedroom door.
I've broken other things on it by accident. I didn't want the bear to befall the same fate. She's been sitting there for years so I am surprised she hasn't.

@paigea Wherever that might end up being, I hope so as well. Right now, she and her cub are watching ghost whisperer with my grandmother.

It's really cute. Glad you don't really have to get rid of it.

My first thought was to give it to goodwill, but that was when I thought it could've belonged to my ex's family.
Then I realized that I'd feel bad if I did that so I was going to send it off. That's when I thought about the fact it could've been my mom's.

That is fun! What collection do you want to get the snow globes from? Or a particular place to collect?

@infatuatedbby Eh, don't really have a particular place I want to get them from. I've seen a few on bradford exchange I like, and one on ThingsRemembered.
It will be a slow collection.

Yup, the pictures have been kind of odd. I didn't see it for the first few minutes either.

Yes, probably best to keep it yourself and cherish the memories from once if first came.

I was surprised it was even given to me. When my ex and I split, I wasn't the one to gather my things. It was sort of a gradual then all of the sudden thing. I got everything I owned, plus a few other things.
