I have been doing my best to inform friends of Connie about her untimely death. There are friends of hers from before I met her that I can not do so, simply because I don't really know them, but also because in the 40+ years I've known Connie I might've met them once or twice. However, for 11.5 of the last 12 years she lived in an apartment complex and about 4 of those years she had the same manager. Nice lady, hard worker, she would sometimes come over to Connie's because Connie had trouble getting out to the office. Today I was at HEB, a grocery store chain in Texas, and I ran into her. Of course she asked after Connie. Of course I had to tell her that she died. Honestly, I don't think Connie would've died if she had stayed in the apartment and if the apartment had been properly maintained like it had been when she was managing the complex. It certainly wasn't her fault that the complex had been sold to a person who was only interested in getting the old tenants out and making money from the place. So, I hope you guys are having a good weekend...

I'm trying to tell people now, rather than wait longer. Having to tell people later, and I did have to do that, kind of renews the earlier shock and upset. The person you are telling is shocked and upset, and that brings back how you felt to start with.

It hasn't been easy, I won't lie. But I'd rather get the telling out of the way sooner rather than later.

It hasn't been as hard as I was afraid it would be. No where near as hard as learning about it myself.

@ElicBxn Yes indeed I know you knew Connie for a long time, even I was shocked when you told me and I only knew her on here for a few years.
