Sometimes I wonder what's really there on mind... before that I need to know WHAT IS MIND? WHERE IS IT LOCATED? Maximum people points to the heart to refer Mind.. but science says it is related to brain... But when I say "Mon bhalo nei" (i.e. Not in a good mood or literally, mind is not well) I feel the pain in heart and not in brain.. myLot, please help me to understand this connection and I will definitely Describe whats on my mind as you always write on the discussion box. The mind is your consciousness. It is located in your brain. It's not the actual brain, but it makes you, you. For example, your personality, your quirks, your likes and dislikes, all that stuff. The brain is there to run your body (your heart rate, your limbs, everything). Your mind is not your heart, like most people state.

Yes Jackie... scientifically you are correct... I don't know what happens to others but if I get depressed I feel something stuck in my chest... where the heart is.. that's why I was wondering even if everything is controlled by head but pain is felt in heart...

@ichchhe_mrityu What your feeling is the physical symptoms of depression. Oftentimes, depression will go along with anxiety (anxiety will sometimes cause pain in other areas of your body). If you can afford it, try seeing a psychologist.

all I know is there is a monitor inside our mind, because every time we think there is an image that flashes inside our mind.. the element of a person that enables them to be aware of the world and their experiences, to think, and to feel; the faculty of consciousness and thought.

its not only a monitor.. it's a storage of everything.. you can hear the same thing which you heard long back.. you can smell something which you smelled long back... and that storage is definitely our brain cells... but how it forms the Mind?
