Biting the tongue, remaining silent, turning the other cheek may be difficult for a lot of people to do. In order to keep confrontations down doing so is a must. Some will test to no end but "there's ways" to avoid such individuals and situations. Even the ones in clothe may have a difficult time turning the other way. There will come a time when something needs to be said. Some may want to know just how far they're able to go. For the ones who have a lot of patience. their tolerance "level" may be higher so some are able to get away with more. The key is to figure how to deal with difficult individuals. There will be a lot of people who probably will try to get a nerve. A lot of violence occurs when there's no control. We're allowed to become upset and being surrounded by some who just don't understand their place. It's important to find a place when "calmness" can occur because some situations can arise and further problems will develop. Tempers flare and then there's words start flowing and once they're out of our mouths there;s no taking the words back. Silence is best at times.

One of the best points here is that there is a lot of violence when there's no control. If we can stay calm, we might be able to prevent violence. Once words leave our mouth, it is really hard to turn back.

I had a horrible temper when I was young. It took me years and years as well as medication to control it. My son has my terrible temper as well but not as bad thankfully. I am trying to teach him how not to let things anger him so much and that when he does get upset about something to go away from it until he calms down.
