What Would You Do With A Million Dollars?

United States

What if someone gave you a million dollars? What would you do with it? Would you just spend it on whatever you wanted? Would you invest it, or would you SHARE it with your family and friends? You may not know this, but when John F. Kennedy, the man who became the 35th President of the United States, turned 21 years old, his father gave him $1 million. Three facts that most persons may not know about John F. Kennedy: John F. Kennedy’s brain was lost by the coroner’s office, after the autopsy was performed, and he was buried without it. It was only AFTER JFK was shot that it became a federal crime to assassinate a president. After JFK mentioned that he enjoyed reading Ian Fleming’s “James Bond” books, sales for the books skyrocketed and then came the series of movies. What do you know about John F. Kennedy?

Setting up a business sounds like a good investment, depending on the business you choose.

@avi256 That sounds like a great idea. You must be a GOOD cook. What is your favorite meal that you would serve in your restaurant?

You mean if I recovered from the shock? Probably invest the million in order to take care of the future. JKF=PT109.

Investing is usually a good idea. Sometimes it works well, depending on what a person invests in.

Not too much because I was just a little girl when he was assassinated. But I do remember my grandma who was an immigrant from Latvia cried about him and she didn't know anything at all just that he had been President. As for that million right now I would be a great thing because it would be a means to get us out of debt and get me back to my homeland the U.S.

@IreneVincent well obviously only with one million dollars I could return to a city like New York. However since I don't expect to ever have so much money I was thinking perhaps if we could settle our properties here and get some money from them then we could either visit for a bit or take a look at say the Catskill Mountains in NY state or somewhere where the expense doesn't chock. But I suppose for me it is rather like the impossible dream.

First I would travel the whole world, later I would decide the rest.

Travel would have been my choice when I was younger. I DID travel a lot then. Now, I don't think I could travel so much.

@TheInvisibleMan There is so much hassle at the airports and I don't feel as safe as I used to, when I traveled to other countries. I am also older and have some health issues. I'm now taking the time to travel near where I live. There are many places within 100 miles of my house that I have not visited. We have here in Virginia, many historical sites, and we have mountains and the beach. I live about halfway between the mountains and the East Coast. There is lots to see and enjoy here. I have been to 25 different countries and 44 states, including Alaska and Hawaii

Yes, that's correct. I think I have flown out of JFK Airport before, when I went to Switzerland.
