Spoiler alerts – 1949 Rangers Comics – Mammoth Books Dr Drew, (Stalker Of The Unknown) is an ordinary American Doctor who fights against Satanists and witchcraft practitioners in the US, rather like Dennis Wheatley’s Duke De Richleau in the UK. When a young newlywed bride is brought to a hotel while her husband looks for a hospital to take her to, a guest there, Dr Drew (a non-medical academic) notices that she is under a spell rather than ill. He uses a few incantations to free her troubled mind, and discovers that she has been given a cursed voodoo doll of herself by a jealous former lover. Drew knows he can truly save the girl by forcing the villain to take back the doll, so a voodoo battle between good and evil ensues in a house full of devil dolls. Dr Drew wins, but he knows there are other evil-doers at large too. Just one of Drew’s occult battles, fun, as a low-key precursor to Dr Strange. Arthur Chappell

Sounds somewhat interesting. But at the same time sounds a bit corny.

@arthurchappell It sounds like it does. But it is what it is. I also notice as the years go by and the older I get, certain genres become popular again. Such like Star Trek and Zombies and things like that.

@inertia4 Star Trek never really fell out of popularity - the animated stories bridged the gap between the original series and the movies after which the franchise never really stopped

Well this is more what I like. Sound fascinating. Did you know that there is some kind of show the you can see on YouTube called Dr. Drew On Call. I suppose it has nothing to do with this.

@RasmaSandra definately not, the series was about a Dr really called Drew who had a political talk show until he was fired for making unsubstantiated claims about Hillary Clinton, which may have helped cripple her campaign against Trump
