Part time wrestlers

This is a hot topic in the wrestling community and since there are a couple of WWE fans on MyLot, I'd like to get your perspective. There's been a lot of criticism towards part time wrestlers coming back to the WWE and immediately getting title shots and main event matches. Brock Lesnar and Goldberg are two of the current part-timers in the WWE at the moment. Rumors are the two will be fighting for the Universal championship during the main event at Wrestlemania. Of course this has been the talk of wrestling fans on social media. Many are willing to give the match a chance, while others are boycotting it. On the one hand I can see how part-time wrestlers like Lesnar and Goldberg bring excitement and star power to a show. Yet, I also feel that it's unfair to the wrestlers on the roster who work every week. I feel that one of current wrestlers should be getting a championship main even match. What is your opinion on part-time wrestlers?

Sorry, but I have no opinion. The only wrestling I watched was my son in high school wrestling meets.

My son wrestled in high school, too. Had to drive through freezing rain and blizzards for months every year to go to matches and tournaments. I think there was a law that said tournaments could only be held during raging blizzards.

@dramagirl26 He loved it and was very good. He was offered a full scholarship to a college until he broke his wrist during practice. That's ok. He got scouted earlier during a football game, which he also played, and wound up at a great preppy school. He is our athletic son. The other, not so much. Lol!

@DianneN It's great that your son wrestled in high school. How did he like it?

They have to dramatize it and make it into a grudge match. There is always a big buildup before Wrestlemania. I think there will be plenty of matches to go around. I used to follow wrestling when my boys were young but not for years. I have heard a rumor that Hulk will make a comeback at Wrestlemania.

@akalinus You make a good point. With it being Wrestlemania, they've got to do something huge for the main event and I guess the Lesnar/Goldberg match will be it. I've heard rumors about Hulk returning for a while now, but I don't know if anything will come of it.

@dramagirl26 Hulk has a lot of personal problems. Who knows if he is fit for the ring right now.

@akalinus That's true! Please after all his scandals the WWE has been trying to distance themselves from him.

I'm not gonna blame part-timers for how they're handled. Fact of the matter is Kevin Dunn and his staff don't know how to build them. The go-home RAW for Fastlane proved that as the only build up to Goldberg vs. Owens was their opening promo, which was bullcrap... Then you have Fastlane's main event which was a throw away match.
