Washington Nationals could trade their catcher Derek Norris

Washington Nationals manager Dusty Baker has admitted that it is possible that Nationals backup catcher Derek Norris will be traded to another team before the start of the 2017 Major League Baseball season. With the contract agreement with free agent catcher Matt Weiters to be their starting catcher this year, it makes sense for the Nationals to trade Norris to another team since they would not want an unhappy Morris on their baseball team this year. Norris was traded by the San Diego Padres to the Washington Nationals on December 2016 in exchange for right handed pitcher Pedro Avila. The Nationals feel that Norris can be a starting catcher with another team in the Major Leagues in 2017 instead of being a backup catcher behind Weiters.

The Nats have too many catchers now so Norris is the logical one to go.
