How's your period? Doctor asked me about my Monthly period, and I told her I don't have it anymore. When I was told I need to undergo HD (HemoDialysis) 3 years ago, my monthly period just stop and until now, I'm not experiencing it anymore. The Doctor said that for some HD cases it happens. And I don't need to worry about it anymore because unlike before whenever monthly period arrive, I will have stomach cramps that will last a day. Other patients said I'm lucky because I don't need to experience the heavy flow that will cause our Hemoglobin to shoot down. Maybe I am, for now. Photo from google.com

What about fertility? If your period stops could you carry a child in the future?

Actually I cannot anymore. Sad. I'm a Hemodialysis patient for 4 years now and having a baby is too risky for us.

That's a good question. She might have trouble carrying a child to full term due to her kidneys. I know just with the little damage I have to mine I had a hard time when I was pregnant and got constant bladder infections. On made me very sick and put me I to labor two weeks early with my son.

@JustBhem I am sorry to hear. I am not very familiar with Hemodialysis , it is something to deal with your blood?

I wouldn't mind not having to deal with one each month. When I was very underweight I did not have a period either.

maybe too because you lack hemoglobin or blood in your system that is why your monthly period is done.
