What do you think of when you hear the phrase, “New World Order”? Does it scar you?
In the small amount research I have done the phrase was first used by Woodrow Wilson after WWI. He was speaking of forming some sort of alliance that would assure world peace.
Then the phrase came to mean a world government. This world government, some believe, would be a communist government. The entire world would be under communist rule.
Some also believed that the New World Order will be a world government controlled by groups such as the Illuminati, Freemasons and The Bilderbergs. The reason for these groups to govern the New World Order is basically two fold. One is to destroy the United States of America and two to bleed the world dry of it money so the rich will become richer leaving the rest of the world’s people too poor to exist.
Those in politics claim the New World Order as just a change in attitude towards peace and tranquility in the world.
Which do you believe?
Here’s what prompted me to post this:
McCain: Dictators 'get started by suppressing free press' Sen. John McCain slammed President Donald Trump's attacks on the media this week by noting dictator...

I honestly don't know what to believe . . . but I've read articles and seen videos about it. First thing I think of is "conspiracy" - we don't know if it's theory or truth - but the truth is out there.
If it does exist, then we are all just puppets being molded into helping them reach their scary goals. If it doesn't exist, it's interesting how it at least gives some people a direction in which to point to blame for all the bad things that are happening around the world.

Yeah, it would almost have to be one way or the other. Some of these "conspiracy theory" are so far out there they just can't be true. The ones who believe in them think everyone who doesn't is whacked out of their minds and the one who don't believe in them think the ones who do are whacked out of their minds. So you're crazy anyway you look at it.

@RichardMeister The thing is how can anyone know what that truth is . . . all that most people are doing are reading articles, comparing notes, and speculating. A lot of it is just hearsay, isn't it? I do think these "secret societies" are as mysterious as they make it - but it's hard for me to believe they have full control over the world as "believers" say they do.

@much2say My friend who spews this stuff does not believe they have full control but if we don't get our heads screwed on straight and stop them they will soon have full control. My friend once said, "If you saw danger coming you would warn your friends wouldn't you?" I told him I would. Then he said, "That's what I've been trying to do but everybody thinks i'm looney tunes. They just don't get it."
I don't know how much is hearsay but some claim that a good deal of it is from people who "heard it with their own ears" or "saw it with their own eyes." But that is open to interpretation.

@RichardMeister Everytime I hear a president speak about "New World Order" it actually does make me cringe and worry. Look I have no idea what is really going on in this world and everything I've ever read may all be lies or hoaxes but this whole illuminati / New World Order thing doesn't sit well with me.
It's like the Georgia Guidestones. That seems to be extremely important to whoever wants it kept up even though the very first commandment on that thing is "Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature." That freaks me out. What the heck is going to be done to bring the population that low?
There are too many weird things going on that people either don't know about, won't take the time to learn about it or just shut you out ignoring the information and instantly deem you as insane.
I've been looking up the illuminati since I was about 14. Back then I was obsessed with it. I was telling my dad so many things but he thought I was just falling for online hoaxes but not too long ago my dad wants to learn since the very things I mentioned are and will be happening.
I'm not really a girl of faith. I just like to call myself Agnostic. But even then, the strange satanic music videos that are coming out for us all to see, or the illuminati symbols being there hidden in plain sight sometimes, it is all weird to me and makes me feel there is more going on that many of us don't even know.
Whether it's a trend or an inside joke among the higher ups, I just don't find it funny. Same with the incident at the Bohemian Grove where the higher ups put on a show that involved a "sacrifice." Not with a real body one would hope but it's still a sick thing to do.

It is hard to say what is going on that we can see. But who knows for sure what is the truth. But to be honest with you it creeps me out to hear McCain talk about a "New World Order."

Very interesting discussion. I'd never heard of the Bilderbergs before.

I think that it was associated with Hitler too. I suspect that Trump and Co. yearn for a new world order with them at the top and the rest of us as serfs.
