I rarely listen to any radio while I'm at home but nearly always listen to the radio in the car. A very long time ago, I used to listen to an area country music station. Then I would listen to my local radio station for awhile. Since I moved to where I am now, I have listened to 2 or 3 different local stations. I got so tired of listening to the crap music they put out now. So, one day I was hitting the button to find a station that played better music. I found one! The radio station plays music from the 60s, 70s, and 80s! My ears thanked me for tuning in to WAXI 104.9.

We lived in Miami, FL and Damascus and Gaithersburg, MD. They had good radio stations. In El Paso, we didn't care about the radio because the cable TV subscription had a music channel. It was great! We live in Austin, Texas now and my husband learned the joys of YouTube. My radio station of choice when I'm dreaming is usually NPR, unless I'm lucky enough to find a stations playing smooth jazz.

Several years ago, I would listen to an NPR station while driving to work. I loved listening to tales of Lake Wobegon.

WAXI plays a lot of music that I grew up with! That's the main reason I like that station.
