overnight breakfast

I got a head start on tomorrow's breakfast by putting it in the slow cooker. I have it cooking on low for 6 hours (and then switching to the warm setting) and am using one of those slow cooker liners, so clean up in the morning won't be too bad. This way breakfast will be ready for those who are getting up early for work and those who are planning to linger in bed a bit longer. I've got a lot of things for oatmeal toppings too: freeze dried blueberries, raisins, homemade blueberry maple syrup, homemade strawberry maple syrup, bananas, chia seeds, hemp seed, granola, coconut flakes, peanut butter powder, chocolate chips... I'm sure the kids will make some pretty good bowls. I've also got yogurt and orange juice to help round things out.

Those are also good breakfast beverages. I have some watermelon chunks in the fridge too.

Sure! It will be ready in the slow cooker when you get here. I don't even have to get up for people to have their breakfast!
