Being famous and looking good.

I have always felt sorry for the stars as they start to age. It's so important for them to keep their looks being in the public eye all the time. It's no wonder they resort to surgery, it must be hard to be in the public eye all the time and not even be able to have an off day without the media reporting it.
I have been looking at an article which shows stars how they were and how they look now. It's quite cruel and criticizes them in a rather unpleasant way.
We all age and for most of us it's not such a big deal, just something that happens naturally and gradually over time. I do look in the mirror sometimes and hold my skin tightly across my face wishing I had that youthful look again but then I just sigh and get on with my daily life and don't dwell on it.
Do you think that if you had the money that the rich and famous have you would resort to surgery or do you want to grow old gracefully?

I too be reading about the celebrities how they look. Me personally I would want to grow old gracefully. Yeah I might keep great teeth repair, dress nice and keep great skin mosterize treatments but get surgery done to make me look great. I wouldn't because then I wouldnt be the real me.

Yes it's a good thing to keep yourself looking smart and well kept but changing your appearance with surgery is just a waste of money. It doesn't last forever either.

@sprite1950 I really agree with that I would rather use that money to have a lovely vacation and travel the world.

They should know what their future will be and so should plan accordingly but they will not and then live a miserable life in their twilight years.

Possibly. I don't always like the way surgery makes people look either. It's so unnatural.

Well if I had the money I would have a few things nipped and tucked..but not a full blown surgery no.

I would love my face to look tighter but I'm too much of a baby to have surgery.

Yes it's kind of sad that they worry about their looks so much that they want to change them.

I would not. Movie stars do it due to pressure of maintaining a certain appearance. Those not relying on looks for career purposes do it out of vanity.

I really wouldn't want to go through surgery. I don't even think I would do Botox injections because I think the long term effects are probably worse than the natural aging process.
