I can remember buying those records for about $1.00. They were made out of wax and you could hear two songs. One on side A and another on side B. Sometimes, they would come inside a protective cardboard with a picture of your favorite recording artist. You would play them on a record player with the middle clip on it. My, have times changed. What is your memory of your 45 record?

I still have some, but I don't play them anymore. My favorite wasn't music. It was a comic monolog called "Hospitality Blues." It was about a man telling how his doctor sent him to the hospital because he needed "old-fashioned rest." Then he explains all the reasons he didn't get it and some of the other experiences like the nurse armed with a huge needle to shoot him with and the other nurse who would wake him up to give him a sleeping pill. It was very funny.

@sugartoes Thank you, thank you. I never thought of looking on YouTube. I had this version.
I had a 45 rpm of this record in my childhood, but it seems to be nearly impossible to find these days. I searched in itunes, amazon, and limewire, but to no...

Mr. Rudy's record store. Had a transistor radio to listen to my fave stations and when new songs would come out, I would buy the 45s from his store. The store was on my way home from school, so I would stop by, pick up my records, go home and play the records over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and ... Hey! The radio didn't play the song enough for me!

I am betraying my age as I grew up buying 45's.

I remember those kind of records. Before Cd's came out. They are many a slow come back.
