Houses do have fingers.

Or hands? Or a heartbeat? Or atleast the ability to mess with your health. Call it mold and mildew. Call it pipes that perhaps need changing. Call it whatever you like. Some of you may remember me talking about a house that belongs to a member of my family. Several family members have had experiences within that have been frightening. A suffocating feeling, as if someone is sitting on their chest. A flick of the ear. Things moving around on the floor. This house had a seance performed within. Say what you will about seances, this particular one apparently was more disturbing than we even know. "We" being the rest of the family. One family member supposedly knows more about the seance but doesn't wish to discuss it because it's quite disturbing apparently. In any case, as for facts. We do know that a doctor used to own the home, and that his practice was next door. We know that a child was taken to the doctor's house late at night one time and perished within the home that same night. We know the child's name, and we believe he is the one that does the playful things like flicking of the ear or perhaps moving things on the floor. That is the "spiritual" side of this argument. The "physical" side is as follows : My family members whom live in this house stay sick. They complain of headaches, of issues with their lungs. Recently issues of the heart have come to play. Now some of these issues can be described away as family heredity. Heart issues aren't new within the family, especially as it pertains to women. However, colds and flus and issues with bronchitis and pneumonia have plagued the family for years. It could be the old house, it could be just poor health. I choose to believe that it is a mixture of both. Those who live outside of the home, while still having some health issues, do not complain or suffer from recurring issues with the respiratory system like these other family members do. It should be said that updates have been made to the home, that their ventilation system works perfectly and that there isn't a place within the house that is damp. I should also say that the majority of these issues increased when additions were made to the home. A few more points to be made, though these are more "vague" as my recollection on them is shoddy. I do believe I was told once about a mans presence within the home. It was a forbidding type of presence, but I don't quite remember all that I was told. The "presence" being that of a spirit. Another is that I was also told (and I remember this perfectly) that a family member had left the house, locked it up, and came home to find that other relatives had been able to get in just fine. Let me clarify, they locked the door (and are quite sure of it) but family members who came to visit were able to get inside because the door was unlocked. Curious, isn't it? I am very much a person who believes that these things are possible. That there is such thing as a spiritual presence, and that it can be a energy manifestation (and thus not real) or a spiritual one (and thus from spirits that were once alive). What do you say about this? Health and home, I mean.

I've seen the ghost of a man who was murdered in the apartment that I now live in. I described him very accurately to his relatives and I had never met him. (One of his relatives lives in the other side of this duplex.)

Used to live in a haunted house so I do believe there is merit to what you wrote.

@ScribbledAdNauseum no idea. Although, I'm more inclined to think it was the first.

Part of me enjoys stories about these type of things because I Want to learn more about what happened to these people. Or why these things are happening. I don't know if the Phillippines show these types of shows, but we have a lot of "ghost hauntings" type of shows here in the US. Even Britain has their fair share of them. Some of them aren't to be believed, they are just too fake. Others though, I can believe that there is something to what they are experiencing. How was the home you lived in haunted?

@allen0187 That had to be very very disturbing! Do you think she was grabbing you with malicious intent or out of some sort of grief she was feeling? She was crying after all.

The Henry Ford Mansion is on the Campus of University of Michigan-Dearborn in Dearborn Michigan. It is kind of an attraction, a lot of people drive by it. One one evening, when I was dating my first wife, we drove by the mansion. We both saw the ghost of Henry Ford looking out his door and saying "why can't you just leave me alone?". The details, including his clothes, matched exactly. It was pretty eerie.

That had to be quite eerie. I think I might have been frightened during the experience but would have been lucky to have had that experience as well.

I have heard that babies can see ghosts and that is why they sometimes are seemingly staring into space and laughing.

Yes. I don't remember my own babyhood obviously, but my nephew (when he was a babe) would stare off into the oorner of the room and occasionally giggle.

Interesting, and I have heard of things like this happening to where a home had to be burned down to chase off the spirits or places not rented out anymore because of it. Have they considered a Minister coming and Praying over the home and annointing the doorways etc with oil?;
