Oakland Raiders running back Latavius Murray who can become a free agent on March 9, 2017 is willing to test the free agent market after his four year contract with the team expired at the end of the 2016 football season. The Raiders are hoping that after Murray tests the free agent market and he cannot find a team that is willing to pay him market value, he will return to the team before the start of the 2017 football season with a new contract. One reason that the Raiders are hesitant to pay his market value before the start of the free agency period is that Murray shared his running back duties with rookie running backs Jalen Richard and DeAndre Washington during the 2016 football season.

I hope he can stay with the team. I also remember reading there were some things they wanted him to work on. Not sure if he's done so .
