The Civil War

Are there any civil war buffs onboard? I find all the that info fascinating. I live in an area that was a major battlefield during the war. During the winter months you can see the gun boats that are at the bottom of the river.

When I was young we used to go and visit Gettysburg and Antienam quite often. I learned a lot about the battles when I was a kid. Those two battles have always fascinated me because they are both close to where I grew up.

Yes, the Civil War is one of my favorite time periods to study. Gettysburg is the only major battle I've ever really looked into, but I find the whole war fascinating. I visited Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, and the Wilderness briefly but didn't have enough time to see much.
