Fat Tuesday is the day before Ash Wednesday.A lot of drinking goes on as well as partying.I am from Louisiana and I celebrate Mardi Gras.Mardi Gras is a popular celebration down south and I see king cakes in grocery stores and bakery's.It is also public sleeping Day.It is also floral design day as well as tooth fairy day.It is also spay day and rare disease day.

I have heard a lot about this festival. It is a kind of day that one enjoys as the following 40 days one is expected to spendin penance. Do you do penance in those 40 days?

I love hearing about what silly holidays it is each day. I used to celebrate many with my kids when they were little just for the fun of it like national ice cream day and national peanut butter and jelly day etc. How do you plan to celebrate Mardi Gras?
