Movies: Source of Memories and Experience

One of the wonderful aspects of movies is that they give us experience of such situations, people and emotions that could not be experienced for real by us. For instance, a movie depicting Bombay of 1980s can give us an experience of a shift in terms of time and space that is not possible to be experienced by us ever (again). Although every creative art has a capability of giving such experience, movies have an edge in having more dimensions available to them for expressing what is to be presented. That is how different movies can make us believe the same actor to be a terrorist in one of them, a lawyer in another and, may be, a college students in yet another. Owing to this capability, movies can make us feel exactly what we see. thus, watching a movie becomes almost equivalent to gaining first hand experience of lots of things which could not be included in our usual life. Moreover, movies also are a wonderful and unique source of memories. For instance, getting to watch a movie from previous decade on TV can remind one very clearly how he had bunked the classes at school along with his friends to watch the same movie on a cinema hall. Well, such things do happen to me.
