Would You Believe lt? Yesterday It Snowed Here.

The temperature outside, here in central Virginia, was 45 F and it was snowing. It didn’t stick on the ground and it didn’t last long but it was definitely snowing. For me, this proved what I had seen in Okinawa in 1961 or 1962. I’m not sure if it was the first winter I was there or the second winter. The temperature outside was about 40 F and it was snowing. In fact, supposedly, it was the first time that snow had actually been recorded in Okinawa and I was there to witness it. When I tell people about it, they usually don’t think I’m telling the truth, because Okinawa is a semi-tropical island and snow would be very unusual, to say the least. Now, I have proof that it can snow when the temperature outside is WELL ABOVE freezing. I did read that it has snowed in Miami, Florida. So that is very unusual also. Sometimes, I guess, the upper levels of the atmosphere are much colder than the ground temperature and therefore, snow can happen. It floats down and then melts immediately. I was definitely shocked when I saw it snowing though, and yesterday I immediately went to the weather channel to see what the outside temperature was. Very unusual.

40 and snowing! That sounds very messy. Usually here its a bit colder when it snows. Mother nature is so unpredictable!

It is still officially winter here in Virginia, but we have had a very mild winter. Lots of unseasonably warm weather and yesterday it was really not that cold, about 45 F That's why it was so shocking to see snow coming down in the middle of the day, instead of rain.

That is nice, you saw a snow. We used to have snow all long winter but now our winters are more like autumns, without much snowing and with warmer weather. We more have rain now that snow.

The forecast was actually for rain, but it did snow for a few a while, even though the temperature was above 40 F.

To be honest, with the stories that have been coming out about the weather lately... nothing surprises me anymore. At least it didn't last very long!! Long enough to enjoy and that's all.!

Yes, the weather patterns are changing and we are seeing more and more weather-related disasters. Many wonder if these changes in the weather are part of the sign that Jesus spoke about. Could it be part of the "sign of the last days" mentioned in the Bible at 2 Timothy 3:1-5 What do you think? Here is a link you might enjoy:

Here we have had the announcement that the spring thaws have set in so there should be no more snow. I will complain if I see any.

This is a long winter of cold and snow for most places.
