This is having different names in various Parts of India and the reason being the usage is known to a limited community of people. In some states, it is a poor man's food and in some urban areas it is limited to only health conscious families migrated to cities from Rural areas. Quinoa, as it is known by many with its general name, is rich in fiber content, it is rich in anti-oxidants, this is anti gluttonous, rich in proteins. The presence of Vitamin B and the minerals like Magnesium, Calcium, Phosphorous, Copper, Zinc, and Iron makes it a repository of all mineral rich food. While the constituents are being so, the uses of Quinoa are multifarious. It controls blood sugar level and as such, it is a good diet for people suffering from Diabetes, and moreover it does not stimulate hunger and controls the Obesity factor. This is a good supplement for refined starch. The high fiber content is useful and effectively controls Cholesterol and as such minimizes the risks relating to heart problems. The high levels of antioxidants fight the problems relating to aging. Having seen and observed so many benefits of Quinoa it is not reasonable to call it a SUPERFOOD? I want to add it to the list of my favorite superfood and what about you Guys?

I've never had it, but with it being high in fiber, it won't be on my list of foods as I need low fiber.
